Kids Pod Threatened Species

Tune in and listen to local Threatened Species Officer Dave Hunter talk about some of the unique threatened species we have in the Albury Wodonga Area.

Kids Pod is a podcast (made in Albury!) where kids get to ask adults the questions they really want to know. Nothing is too rude to ask.

Today's episode features Dave Hunter who works with local threatened sopecies. His job is to implement programs and management actions that help protect and conserve some of our native plants and animals that are at risk of going extinct.

Some of the threatened species we have around the Albury/Wodonga area include the Sloane’s Froglet which is a tiny little frog about the size of an adults thumbnail and the Squirrel Glider which is a possum with special wing like membranes that help it glide through the air from tree to tree. Part of Dave job is to help protect species like these to ensure that they are still around for future generations.

Kids Pod is available free to download on iTunes, Spotify and Google Podcast.
