Our Community

In talking with our communities while developing the Albury 2030 Community Strategic Plan and Wodonga 2033 Vision, we heard a clear message that the councils should work more closely together to achieve a number of goals under the four pillars of Our Economy, The Environment, Our Community and Partnering in Leadership.

The actions listed underneath these goals indicate the ways in which we hope to work together to achieve these aspirations for the future. An Action Plan will be developed following the public exhibition of the Two Cities One Community Strategic Plan. The Action Plan will detail how and when new and ongoing projects will be delivered.

Our Draft Goals

We are recognised as a cultural and creative region, that embraces and celebrates diversity

We are a liveable community, connected to our region and other cities

Our community is healthy and has a strong sense of wellbeing

We are a caring, equitable and inclusive community
Community Aspirations

We are really excited to publish our new Community Strategic Plan. It defines our Two Cities One Community mission and the long-term goals for our Partnership.

Have a say

The Two Cities One Community initiative has identified a number of projects on which our Councils can collaborate.

Do you have any suggestions for how we can work closer together? Maybe some ideas for joint projects?

We want to hear your views and ideas for greater cooperation and collaboration.

We will listen to your suggestions and consider each Council's budget and resource capacity when updating the Action Plan.

The Two Cities One Community Action Plan 2017-2021 has been adopted. This Action Plan details our shared long-term goals.
